Anthony (Tony) Doran

Aug 4, 1963 - Dec 31, 2024

We are beyond saddened that Anthony (Tony) Doran left us far too early on December 31, 2024, after a valiant battle. Born on August 4, 1963, to William and Doris Doran, Tony was the youngest of seven children. He was fiercely proud and loyal to his siblings Julia, Winnifred (pre-deceased), Catherine (pre-deceased), William, Michael, and Lorraine. He was never short of a story of his family back home.

After emigrating from Liverpool, England in 1982, Tony continued his devotion to Liverpool, namely his beloved Liverpool football club! He could often be found yelling to his team through the television screen and regaling those that would listen to why they are the only team worth supporting. A true red to the core!

Tony revered knowledge, history, and humour but nothing was more paramount than his family. He was extremely proud of his children, and this was clear to anyone who had a conversation with him.

Known for his dry sense of humour, quick wit, and the ability to turn a short story long he will be missed beyond words by family and friends everywhere.

Tony is survived by his wife Lisa and his children, Anthony (Courtney), Julia and Kathryn (Yoel), his wonderful siblings, and many nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada and the UK.

We would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, staff, and volunteers at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital for their tremendous care and support throughout his time there.

Please join us on Tuesday January 7th, 2025, at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home from 1pm to 4pm for visitation followed by a celebration of life at Black Swan Oakville (Rebecca Street).
